Painting - The Early Days
My development as an artist

In 1972, while I was still potting I became keen to start painting and you can see my first effort on the home page.

My next set of paintings were based on the images I had absorbed on my visit to Javea (Alicante) and the colour yellow expressed my feelings of warmth and sun in the landscape.

The idea of putting the sun, as an object, in every painting, became a sort of trademark and I still tend to include it in my most recent work.
